Canvas TTops
When I purchased my 76 Vette a few years back I was given hard TTops & folding canvas TTops. Does anyone out there have these folding TTops?? I have run into so many Vette owners wondering where I got the tops. Does anyone still make them??

I've got a set of the 2 seperate ones that I received from a forum member. They seem to fit good, but I don't think I would go more than 45 mph with them on. I'm going to have them recovered in thicker material next year.

One version of those tops was patented in 1980. Similar tops today are held in place by velcro. The tops in the pic have the rear pins and front bracket handles like ordinary tops. The do fold and are kept in a vinyl bag. You see them on EBay from time-to-time.
I believe the manufacturer went bankrupt in the late 1980s.

I used those tops at 70 mph, no problem. They were a form of insurance when I went to shows in case rain hit with the heavy and bulky fiberglass or smoked glass tops left at home. It did just once and they were OK. Certainly not leak-proof (minor drips) but a blessing to keep the rain off the interior.

I have a set of white one's. Like Paul said they're not leak proof. We got caught in a down pour last summer and they sure came in handy.

I will throw in my .02.
I have a set of the two piece AM Tops - black canvas.
Excellent quality and design. 70+ mph...no problem.
Like others said, great for the unexpected rain. I use them exclusively in the summer when the top goes on and off. Hard tops are kept for winter use.

Waited about 3 years until a set of AM Tops showed up on EBay. Well worth the wait.
