I have a couple of Robert Hoyt's inspection stickers and they look like the real deal. As for license plates ebay and swap meets are the place to find em... Dave..

I bought a 73-82 N.Y. farm plate with a Dec/76 sticker on it, on eBay and WD-40'd the sticker off, then stuck it on a 73-82 N.Y. passenger plate, also got that on eBay, for almost nothing...5 bucks...for my 76 Vette...just my 2 cents..

Might also try Hemmings. They advertise lots of unusual vintage stuff.

Got a real nice plate off ebay. I have question maybe someone can answer If I bought a car in 78, should it have a expiration tag on the plates for 79 or should it be 78. Logic would tell me that it would be a 79 or do people put the year their car is?

Swato,

I bought one for my 72 at the Houston Corvette show at the George R, Brown convention center. It is the last weekend of February (25, 26). The vendor also had vintage plates. I put a 72 sticker on a 72.

Good luck,

Milest

I would think it's a matter of personal preference, but I put a 12/76 sticker on my 76 to designate the car year at a glance...
