TH 350 converter question: noise...
just installed a remanned TH 350. Filled the torque conveter with 1 qt of fluid before installing it. Then filled tranny. Started car.
There is a noise, coming from the torque converter. It sounds like a noise associated with the converter being unbalanced. It sounds like a light knocking, as if the converter is slightly out of balance. The converter and flywheel is not hitting anything (I have it on a lift, so I can watch and listen) The converter came with the tranny
I let it idle about 2-3 minutes, while shifting thru the gears. The noise abated somewhat
I havent road tested it yet
Does this sound like the converter is unbalanced?
Has any one had this happen with installing a auto tranny

I recently diognosed a cold start knocking to loose torque convertor bolts. Sounded like a muffler hitting the frame for about 20 seconds untill warm. Might want to double check.
