What are your TH400 shift points, cruise and WOT
Ok can any of you guys with a TH400 tranny do a road test for me?
I want to know...
1, Shift points ( RPM ) at normal ( slow ) driving speeds...around town etc.
2, Shift points ( RPM ) at WOT from standstill.
3, Max speed at which the box will kickdown, MPH and RPM.
TIA

All the shift points on mine in straight "D" position are too early. Taking off from a stop at slow speed I'm in second gear by 15mph...and in 3rd by 25mph...My kickdown does not work after about 45mph....for performance fun I shift manually...I'm thinking about a shift kit actually...

Thanks for the replies, as for manually shifting at WOT, do you guys keep your foot to the floor at all times or let off for the change?
