I’m a St. Louis City Police Officer. This plant is right across from our North Patrol Division Station, which is home of the 5th and 6th Patrol Districts. That station is located at 4014 Union (directly across the street from Corvette). It also abuts 2 of the most violent neighborhoods in the country.
if anyone would like, I’d be happy to shoot across the street and take some pictures next time I’m working.

Sorry to say, no The actual Corvette plant was torn down. Some of the larger GM Truck plant buildings do still exist and were turned into a Industrial Park

See if this works:
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...10815&t=k&om=1
(if it doesn't work then try to find Union Blvd and Natural Bridge Road on maps.google.com)
Googlemaps sat. photo of the old plant location, seems to be a regular industrial-park type place.
edit here's more:
http://unionseventycenter.com/
this is what's there now, looks pretty!

I toured the plant in the early 70's and then in 1977 while they were building the proto for the 78-82 cars... I go to St. Louis every year because of my wife's job and we always go to the hill and eat... Cunetto's house of pasta and Zia's are my favorites.... But about 15 years ago we were there and we were at Blueberry Hill in the loop, talking to another LEO... He said stay away so we did on his advice....

Thread has been resurrected once, why not twice? I'm 46 so never owned a Vette when this plant was open but love the history. My dad always told me Corvettes were made in STL but never knew where.
Shame what our city has become but I have to agree with Twisted Tree
