Well, I was driving home in My SS Camaro with the Wifey from Home Depot yesterday evening....


AND right in the middle of the street was "OLE GLORY" I noticed it in the center of the fast lane and slow lane after a car just missed it !!

So I did a quick dodge to the right lane to confirm it was the "AMERICAN FLAG"

I was was shocked and thought it must have fallin out of the back of a truck or car.

As I drove down the road I saw cars passingTHE FLAG in my rearview MIRROR....


My mind Raced and I looked to my wife who looked mournful

SO WITHOUT DELAY... I DOWNSHIFTED AND PULLED A QUICK U-TURN...

chirped first and second ... AS I RACED TO OLE GLORY!

I pulled into a merger lane... pulled my flashers on the steering column... and exited my SS with my motor still rumbling.

I was on the mission to rescue "THE FLAG"

Without delay I ran up the narrow grassy median on LAKE EMMA.

Leaped out and picked up OLE GLORY.....

I can't describe in words how I felt. Thinking about all the brave men and women of OUR PAST...... OUR PRESENT..... And OUR FUTURE.

What I did .... I did because of all the Great PEOPLE THAT HAVE GOTTEN UP and fought for our Freedoms here and others around the World.

It was just a minor thing picking up an AMERICAN FLAG. But once I did it, I realized I did the RIGHT THING. I have Great RESPECT For Our Country...problems or not we should all be GREATFUL.

Don't do like the others....

AND ROLL ON PASS OLE GLORY....

We all owe her WAY TO MUCH !

i pick them up every time i see them.
if in good shape i hang on to them if in bad shape i pass them on to a friend of mine in the VFW for their yearly flag retirement ceremony.

I wonder if the newspaper would say I died defending our country j/k (not even close)

In the old Movies the guy carrying the flag would ALWAYS get shot !! And then JOHN WAYNE or somebody would run grab it and to RALLY THE TROOPS.
