St. Louis / Bowling Green Trivia
I got the following PM from a guy on another forum. An interesting bit of trivia:
I read your post about your Corvette being built in ST.Louis. In 1990, I toured the new Vette Assembly plant in KY. I saw a lot of workers wearing ST. Louis baseball caps. I asked how come. I was told it was a status thing. These workers came from the orginal ST. Louis assembly plant. So most of the people that built your Corvette are alive and in KY.

I also toured the plant back in 91.
The Museum was in a shopfront a fair way from the plant.
The "new" LT1 motors were sitting in some of the cars around the plant but no information was forthcoming from the tour guides.
On a later trip I became friends with an ex employee of the plant who transferred from St Louis and I have joined Corvettes Limited of Bowling Green.
