The one in the second picture is the pace car spoiler. It's available in urethane and fiberglass. The urethane is around $200 and comes in three pieces, the fiberglass is cheaper and only one piece.

The spoiler on the first photo looks like Ecklers or Vanacors aftermarket spoiler.

Default what is the front lower spoiler called?

1 - PITA everytime I wash the car.

2 - The reason Corvette owners never pull far forward in parking spaces.

cool, thanks for the help guys....i like the one in the first pic better.....it's a bit smaller, but still cleans up the front end.......that last pic is mine and I don't like how it looks like it sits high in the front.....it'll get lowered soon and we'll see how well it looks....

thanks again!

Never seen one like the first one, but it looks pretty good. The lower one is the Pace Car spoiler.

I think the first one is too 'round' for the C3 front... well.... just my opinion.

I had that one on my car for a while, I got rid of it for the 3-piece urethane Pacecar one. At the very least Bluegtp should get the black rubber original one, it looks allright and helps a lot with cooling, plus only costs about 30 bucks.

I'm just wanting something make the front end look a little lower than it does now and to hide away the chunk of tire that you can see from the front view...I don't mind seeing some of it though........know what I mean? it just looks kinda naked...maybe I need to wait until I lower the car a bit and see what it looks like....

Yup, that's the rounded one from your first post. Here's what it looks like on a 79

I like it...not quite as squared-off and harsh as the Pace Car verison.

Have anyone seen a C3 Vette with this spoiler installed?
http://www.ecklers.com/product.asp?p...dept%5Fid=1435

Looks pretty good and inexpensive.
(For the compulsive spoiler people, this might be an economy option).

I have one of those on mine: Here is a pic

I don't have the pace car spoiler package. You need the valance to keep air going up and into the raadiator

Yeah, I seen one, on my car. It's the OEM air dam (that's the term I use).
Can't see it any more though because I covered it with a 5" deep one I made out of heavy rubber roof membrane. Looks a bit odd at first, but I've gotten used to it and like it. The rubber is stiff enough to hold shape, but flexible enough I can mash it on road dips and parking blocks without worry. But it is homemade, so some folks I'm sure would be aghast.
I had contemplated the pace car style, but decided that on my car it would add too much visual weight and mass to the front end, as well as be quickly damaged. Mine, being black rubber, is less obvious and doesn't detract from the visual impact of the clean nose of my car (in my opinion, of course!)

do ya have any pictures?

I'm think i'm gonna end up going with the stock $40 one....the pace car one is too larger for my taste (it kinda angles up in some of the pictures I 've seen too)....i've lowered my car since this post and I really like the front end a lot better now even with nothing on it....

i bought the car and it never had the factory chin spoiler....the car runs pretty cool right now so I'm not complaing.....sits right around the 1/4 mark on the temp gauge.....
