St Louis Manufacturing Line Pictures (1 of 2)
Have been getting some PMs requesting copies of these pictures. They are of the St Louis plant with 1981's going down the line (one of the pictures shows the date code on a frame as 12 - 8 - 80). Will need to put these into two threads due to the number of pictures.
Enjoy...

As a two-tone owner I find this picture to be very cool.
I always thought the two-tone cars were made in BG only but this is a two-tone going down the St. Louis line! Also note how well the paint line matches up on the left front bumper...looks about as good as the one on my '82!

I know they did a few two tone pilot cars at STL. Must be one of them. I see the cardboard taped to the windshield. Bet it has pilot info on it. Wish I could go there and get a new set of floor mats. See those boxes full? Eric

Love the pics. Look at all the glass under the bodies while they are on the dollies. Very cool pics, thanks for sharing.

Really fun going to car shows here in STL area. Always get some elderly guy (I'm 56) coming up and saying he worked at the STL plant for years. I usually ask them what they did there and strike up a conversation. One guy told me he put carpeting in and before he put it in he would write his initials on the floorboard.
One fellow down at the local O'Reillys put in windshields. A woman security guard at one of the local parking lots in Clayton, MO put on weatherstripping around doors and many other projects during her years there.
