WOW - Cannon's Corvette (a Corvette Graveyard?)
I had seen this place numerous times on my way back and forth from our beach house in the Outer Banks, NC. It was always evening and dark when I drove by. This time I left earlier and stopped by at approximately 1830 hours. The business had closed at 1700 but it was well worth the stop. I looked over the rear fence and found a gold mine. There were 2 '63 split windows, tons of Vette frames, parts stacked to the hilt, C1 C2 & C3 Vettes, and a few Mustang Fastbacks. WOW, I was like a kid in a candy store!

I just read on their website where the owner was going to retire at the end of the year, but he recently passed away. His business partner is going to carry on with the business. They specialize in Corvette frame restorations and repairs.

I have stopped in and picked up a part or two. They were very nice and actually gave me a tour of the place. It's like a museum. The cars out front are owned and for sale by the big guy who is often seen siting on the front picknick table chewing tobacco. I beleive they have more vettes for sale at another location.
