Default Sunny Day, Beer, and Cars. (Pics)

Another car show this morning. Curt and I went to a local diner this morning and hung out most of the day with some cool people and some cool cars. You'll see sweet cars, and I got to drive Curt's car again, or at least park it. I guess I'm the new valet guy.

The C3 next to Curt is a bit of an odd custom Vette. Extra points for who can tell what it used to be and what they did. Yes, the burgundy C3.

Do I get to play this game? Unless someone knows this car they'll never get it.

The only reason that I let you behind the wheel is that someday I hope to get a crack at that beast of a project you got going..........

Hah hah, no you're exempt from playing...and I thought I got to drive because we were friends...

Oh, and you definitely have earned some wheel time in the '77 when it's ready.

I have no idea what they did to the burgundy vette, but your Bud Curts is very nice. How new is that paint? Nary a chip anywhere. I'm looking forward to more threads like these this summer from other members on the forum, one of the coolest parts being on here, seeing everyone elses rides on cruise nights, shows, road trips....now if the weather will just cooperate here in Michigan....

Thanks. The paint on the candy green '74 is about 8 months old. I really dread getting my first rock chip. The color is custom and there is no way to match it.

Can tell that there is a chrome bumper on the front and rubber in the rear....Is it my eyes or does it say Corvelle on the rear?

Almost looks like the rear was part of the vette wagon look.

Oh it says Corvette. With the glare it's just hard to see that.

That rear glass is is part of the whole rear clip, bought from Ecklers MANY years ago. That same clip was used by another big name group that put Datsun head lights on some Corvettes.

Need more hints as to what year that car started out as?

the front looks like a 69, but the rear looks different, maybe from a 78 or 79? or am i being thrown off by the spoiler? definently added rear wheel flares, no?
i can see diamond tuck on the seats also. they don't look like vette seats.

was this car chopped from 2?

Looks like a 68-69 body with fender flares from 70 and later on the front and rear. Added rear flares. Also looks like they added a molded in line all the way across the rear of the car below the taillights.

Looks like a pretty good time Matt. Of course beer and sunshine help. Curtis, that green paint looks like it's about a mile deep! Looking good!

So they put a stock 69 front clip back on a Baldwin Motion car?

You guys are getting very close and a few have nailed it minus the details. Great eye Mike on the seats. They are Vette seats, the stock ones, that had diamond tuck treatment. Sweet looking even after all these years.

The front is the stock part. The rear is the Eckler's clip. The fender flares are also a kit, and some of you might notice they are one of the two styles of flares.

The rear is not stock for anything just to let you know. The car was not chopped but the top that's on that car did not come with it from the factory.

Need any more hints?
