I understand the rocker panels from 1970 to 1977 were the same.
After that different. Check with vendors on this forum - look at their
catalogs and you will find a wealth of information.

Let me give you a complete answer -- Rocker Moldings are the same
for --- 68-69----70-77----- 78-79---- 80--- then 81-82.
Hope that really answers your question.

I may have some that will fit your car if you're interested, they are used and in good condition. I bought them thinking they would fit my 75 but they do not, I believe they are for an 82 but not absolutely positive. If you're interested send me an email and we can figure it out.

The 80-82 rocker panels are about 1" shorter than the 79 and earlier, probably to better fit the slightly larger wheel opening/big tire change.

Interesting...I wasn't aware of a change in the wheel wells. You learn something every day...

Hmmm.....I have some off a 77 (I think) on my 82, maybe that's why it sticks out a little in the wheel at the front. I had chalked it up to crappy GM parts.

That's next on my "To buy" list I suppose.....

Should clarify. The change was mainly the tuck under at the rear of the opening. Angled slightly towards the rear. The big 80s style front bumper gives slightly more room for the tire also. I guess they got tired of hand grinding the front wheel opening that was necessary on the 78/79s for the 255 tires
