Default New pics of bird cage work - caution 8 pics

I had posted some pics of the rust on the cage and was asked to show some of the progress - here they are. We left as much of the old metal as could be saved and added new pieces where needed. The old stuff was all treated and has new metal underneath. After everything was welded in place it was painted with an epoxy primer.

Thanks for the comments. The car was moved to a spare garage as a few other cars are in the main shop (one of them is my other C3 getting painted!!) and the old VW has been in there for a while - yes I also had to take a look as it brought back a few memories.
