427 Aluminum heads
I ran into a guy I sold a few parts to a while back and he said he had some 427 Aluminum heads for sale. He claims they are factory heads removed from a vett motor. Is there a list of casting #'s to check if these are real or over the counter parts. I believe they should have the W for winters foundry, Correct? What is a fair price for these.

should have a snowflake with a (w) in the center like the one near the number 5 intake rocker in this pic and there should also be one on the rear exhaust port (see pic) this is a 3919842 head from 68

There are also 188 1971 LS6 Corvettes with the 3946074 ZL-1/late L-88 heads as well.
And yes there is a tiny special stamp that designates whether this head was on a production engine or whether it is over the counter.
