Default 427 Aluminum heads

I ran into a guy I sold a few parts to a while back and he said he had some 427 Aluminum heads for sale. He claims they are factory heads removed from a vett motor. Is there a list of casting #'s to check if these are real or over the counter parts. I believe they should have the W for winters foundry, Correct? What is a fair price for these.

should have a snowflake with a (w) in the center like the one near the number 5 intake rocker in this pic and there should also be one on the rear exhaust port (see pic) this is a 3919842 head from 68

There are also 188 1971 LS6 Corvettes with the 3946074 ZL-1/late L-88 heads as well.

And yes there is a tiny special stamp that designates whether this head was on a production engine or whether it is over the counter.

This is one of the unique anomalies we don't just let out. It helps keep the fraudulent practices down. Please PM me with what you actually see on the ends of the heads.
