Default computer controller

I am buying this 81 vette and ive been doin some reading on it and is there a way to remove the computer controller and change it back to a non computer controlled system. im trying to stay away from computers now and i was wondering if this works

It isn't all that hard to remove, but you'll have to replace the carburator and distributor if they are still original. You'll also lose the torque converter lock up function.

Unless you're doing extensive mods, the original 81 computer controlled system does pretty well if it's all functioning properly. Don't be too quick to remove it all.

ok so my next question would be will the computer work with aftermarket parts or do you have to have special parts to use it still
