Differential Pinion Flange
Oh crap, I think I found another problem. When I was disassembling my differential a few months back, I removed the "dust deflector" for the yoke flange. It looked like it was crimped on. I powdercoated both pieces and now it seems when I put the dust deflector on top of the flange, it is no longer a crimped fit (I must have ground down the little crimps when I was prepping it for powdercoat). I can put it on and take it off without any effort. I was thinking about using some loctite retaining compound which is used for bearings on undersized shafts...it locks them in basically. Son of a gun...is there anything I can do to fix it?
Here is a picture I found referring to what I am talking about (it is not my photo)

Lowes & Home Depot also carry J B Weld. I love the stuff and you will too! You will find MANY uses for it once you have tried it! They even came out with a 5 minute J B Weld! The regular is cheaper by a few cents and works great.
I use a Popsicle stick to mix the two compounds. Wife bought a bag for her projects. Prep the area before applying; degrease, rough up, and wipe down with lacquer thinner. Just like you would prep an area for bondo. I always let it dry overnight if possible.
Of course, if I can MIG weld, I'll do that 1st!!! Like someone else said, JB Weld is a brand name. There are better epoxys on the market as well.
