New tool off flea-bay
Picked this up of e-bay for $50.
It's a Sun performance analyzer model 1011. Has tach, dwell / volt meter, vacuum gauge, adjustable timing light and scope. Even got the operation manual.
Everything works, but there is some noise in the scope patterns.
I used Sun machines back in high school & college. Pretty nice to "supertune" the old points ignition systems.

Yup, the shop I take my DD to has one of those. I think the ownwer uses it more on his own vehcles than anything else. He has a lot of old cars and trucks.

Neat buy
I have a Snap-On (Sun) MCA 3000 analyzer that I would like to sell cheap. Say $250 or trade for interesting parts. Does all that one does and also has a Scanner with Troubleshooter good to 1991 or 1993, I forget. Has a 'scope, timing light, etc. Would be perfect for a garage somewhere. It also has exhaust gas analyzer which has a fault, but could probably be fixed if needed. I only used the scanner portion but I bought a hand-held Snap-On scanner so I don't need it anymore. Anybody interested?
Do a Google search for "mca 3000" for info about them. About the 5th item down has a photo of one.
