Default 1981 Frame on restoration

I have had a few posts about different phases of my project so I figured I would put it all here in one post now and update it as I go.

I bought a pretty nice looking 81 but I am a little wacky so I wanted to make it like new.

Here are a few before pics from the guy I got it from

...As you can see it was in very nice shape

Ok here is the restoration
Interior gutted before I sent it off to paint

Off to the body shop. I didn't hang around long enough to get the pics with the bumpers off.

After paint...I will get some better pics when the weather clears up

Now I started the interior
So far I got the new carpets in front and rear and the new compartment doors in.

Looks like it was a nice clean car when you got it. Should be awesome when you get done.

Yank,

Looking good, now why don't you find me an 82 like that so I can restore

So are you getting the slotted alloys?

Good choice! Now put on some sidepipes, a 140mph speedometer, and the steering wheel with the smaller diameter and the brushed aluminum spokes, and it will look just like my dream 82 if I can every find one to restore, ha, ha. Yours looks fantastic!!! Please keep the pictures coming and fill in your profile so we can know some more about you

Man you're wacky! That was a nice car to begin with. Props to ya to rip up an already nice car to make it nicer.

Now me, I woulda been lazy and just left it alone.

That car was nicer before than some that I've seen after a full restoration. Can't wait to see the after pictures. Good job!

That looks sweet! Of course, I'm a little biased to silver C3s. Looks like that car is going to be nicer than nice when you're all done.

What color is your interior? I have an 81' that calls out slate interior, looks close to your color.

Good job, looks awesome.
