Time to go to the paintshop...
Flares are here, big hoosier tires are here (actually i've got 8 instead of 4...) and the new custom wheels 11.5x15 and 9.5x15 will be here next week...i'll need the new rims with the tires to take the measures to fix properly the flares...then is paintshop time!
Meantime, i was thinking to change paint scheme altogether, my preferences are:
1) Satin metallic silver (same color Mercedes uses for its racing cars) with hood and tail (with motion stripes) satin black.
Or
2) Satin black, all of it.
New wheels are black with polished outer rims...
Preferences?
I'd love to see a photoshop on these pics...

I did my best at adding flares and blacking it all out...I shaved the side marker too...I hate those. I'm still practicing up, but this is what I got for ya.

Mod81, good job, it looks great and thanks!
I think i'll take the risk of going that direction, it costs more then a 'normal' paint job but it definitely deserves a try...

thanks I wasnt sure how to "create a flare"...so that was just winging it. I think flat black is going to be amazing. Hard to get the flat effect but I found it to look really good myself.

Fatcat, I have already the 'mistress' with that paint scheme...(and black wheels...)
I've decided for the satin black with black wheels scheme, it might be a bit too 'dark' but it will surely look extremely agressive. Today i've been at the paint shop, he'll take the vette on monday...give me 2 weeks and you'll be flooded by plenty of pics
