Default Lug Nut Torque

Can someone please confirm 75 lb-ft torque on the 73 stock rally wheel lug nuts? My memory is failing me.

Just as an FYI for some of the other interested readers, I recently checked with American Racing and the Torque Thrust II aluminum wheels lug nuts should be 55-65 ft-lbs.

Does anyone have the 1969-1970 repair manual handy--seems to me that they had a oddly low number for torque for wheel lug nuts. One for which I never followed.

I have a 69 and a 72 GM manual. The 69 says 65 ft/lbs and the 72 says 75 ft/lbs

yup, thats the one--I always thought 65 was a bit low for the original steel wheels.
