Default frame vin 68?

Where can I find my frame vin on my 68? I can't seem to locate it. Thanks

I know on my '73 it it near the top of the kick up drivers side .

"Typically", the VIN is stamped on the frame in 2 places. Left side rail slightly forward of the #4 body mount and on the left side frame rail rear kickup above the wheel area slightly forward of the #3 body mount bracket. Source: Corvette restoration guide 1968-1982 by Richard Prince.

I still can't find it, maybe it's due to rust. Do you know specifically where it should be, i.e. inside frame rail, outside of frame rail, underneath, on top? Thanks

on top and mine was lightly stamped so you will have to get any rust or crud off to see it. be careful what you use so that you dont damage the stamp.

Found it. Great post. I verified numbers match but I can't completely make out first two digits but I can make out last six. What should first two digit be on a 68? What do they mean. Thanks
