Impala hood emblem (427)
Does anyone know if Chevy used the same hood emblems (427) on both Corvette's and Impala's in 69?
They look the same.

The 1969 Impala SS427 didn't have hood badges. The 427 callout was above the marker lights on the front fenders.

i miss seeing all these old cars on the road, nice impala btw, the railroad used to issue them as company cars and my dad was trainmaster, took them for granted but when i see one now i just stare and reminisce. i remember in those days you could see any car on the road and know the model/make and year just by glancing and noticing grill and light setup, been a long time since I was able to do that with e-v-e-r-y make and model on the road...don't mean to hijack the thread, but miss the good old days.

It's described as "1969 or 70 Impala SS 427 Fender Emblems"
Looks like vette emblems and I was thinking of buying it.

As info, those came only with the '67 SS427 not the Super Sport or other Chevy cars. The 427 portion is a 1 piece emblem unlike the Corvette. The Super Sports got the standard 1 piece big block emblem with the flags above the engine designation.
