Default Who wraps steering wheels & cost?

What is the going rate to have a stock C3 steering re-wrapped in red leather...any recommendations?

Any other wheel covering options out there, I have an extra wheel to experiment with.

thanks

I remember seeing that either Ecklers or Mid America did this.. I could be wrong.. I cannot remember the cost.

There is a member on here, Chuck Pelton, that does this. He did my steering wheel and it looks awesome. I had an 81 that was red leather with black spokes. Chuck brushed the spokes and wrapped the wheel in black leather. I am very happy with it.

Aprox what does he charge? I like the orignal wheel better than any of the aftermarket choices.

Chuck Pelton hands down is the best. Quick turnaround and great product. Here he wrapped my 72 original one in leather. Contact him for a price.

Nice wheel!!! I did a wheelskins.com myself, they have options to go two-tone leather, and/or perforated....takes a while to do, but if its done right...very excellent.

I bought an imitation leather wrap kit from pep boys for something like $12. I'll try to send pics if I can. At the very least you may want to do something like that to see and feel it before you shell out the money to have it wrapped. It only takes 10 or 15 minutes to do, but I think it looks great.

Thanks for the contact info...will contact him today.

Ed

Until I hear from him...I need to decide on a color. My 82 Vette is red on red with dark red leather seats. The 82 now has a dark red leather wheel with black spokes. I have an extra 79 vette wheel with silver spokes that I think looks better...now do I go with dark red or black on it before installing in the 82?

Default wheel re-wrap

I bought A very hard to find 82 CE wheel "refurbished" from Corvette America. I was/am very happy with it color & everything, but it was pricey. think $250.00 and they wanted my Core (original).

Wish I knew about Chuck and the forum two years ago. I could have saved some $ Sounds like he's the man. No one on this forum ever steered me wrong

Chuck Pelton did mine in red about a month or so ago. It exceeded my expectations.

As with anything of quality, the joy of use will long outlast the pain of price. Thanks Chuck!
