Default Vanacor Hoods

Is anybody out there using a Vanacor L-88 style or Stinger type hood?
How is the fitment and quality of their products?

Pros

Cons

I bought a L-88 style for my 75 last summer but the latch setup on the hood is for a 77-82, so I am shopping for a new hood. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks

I have a Vanacor L88 hood and I am happy with it. I even modified mine to accept the early style latches instead of the stock '77 latches.

Fitment is good when you consider that all after market hoods need to be 'worked' a bit for that perfect fit with perfect gaps.

Overall I was very happy with the quality and I have not even done the body work and paint to it to make it 'fit' my car.

I ordered a front bumper for my 82 vette and it wasn't even close. Over 3/4 gaps and when it was returned the body shop had to chase them down to get there money.

i've had some patch panels from them and wasn't impressed....the corners don't even match up close to the 80's style front bumper......

.people seem to have decent luck with their hoods/bumpers....you're gonna have to decide, so do your research and good luck.

When it came time to buy a hood, i had good dealings with a couple that makes hoods and sells them on ebay....this is the only style they make though, and as you can see have a good reputation. Very nice to deal with too!
