Default Our newly designed flares

As some of you know we have been working on a new flare design that will be better fitting and looking on C3 vettes, as well as require less "smoothing " out and general body work to make look good.

In the following pics you can see what we have designed. We have finished the rear flares (they are available now) and the fronts will be available rear soon.

We made all new molds for these and incorporated the classic L88 style with some improvements to make a great looking and fitting flare that is similar to the original in look, but eliminates most of the fitting issues associated with these. First of all, the back of the rear tire gap issue, is eliminated. This flare has a much nicer radius to it than the original rear flares. We have also incorporated a inner lip to give the flare strength and a more OEM look. These flares dont need a lot of bodywork to have a nice trasition from quarter panel to flare. No more of the "shelf look"as the nice shape is built into the flare. The flare is flexible enough to be moved into position for particular applications and has enough material to accomodate for any "final trimming".

For you interested in these please PM me for availability and more info. Pricing will be compatible with (or a bit less) than regular L88 flares available from other vendors.

The flares pictured are right off the new molds.

Very nicely done. I only wish that they had a bit more material on the trailing end at the outside to provide a bit more paint protection, but then again I'm a 71 owner and that's the original styling of the car. Perhaps the 68-69 crowd would disagree.

Funny you say that!!!!(we already thought of it)

These particular flares are styled similar to the original L88 flares.

But look at this. We have made an attachment to modify them, allowing for more material in the rear.(the current car that is getting these is getting more material in the rear) If the demand was high enough ,we would mold these as well.

Hi Stan
Nice work as usual. Were these done by the same fellow who made the mold for the hood that you showed during the build of you're latest car?
It's really nice to have people that know how to do things!!
Regards,
Alan

Yes Alan, Mike at our shop did the cutting and grinding, then I did my body work and smoothed everything out before making the molds.

I am ready to buy a set of the wider flares. Would be great to see a picture of them taken from the side if you could provide one.

Doug

If any of you guys call the shop and no one picks up, please leave a message with a call back #, and we will call you back right away. Sometimes with all the noise going on here, we dont hear it ring.

We are starting to make rears right now. The fronts should be finished in a couple of weeks. PM me to get a spot in line for them.
