1976 C3 Firethorn red - pictures wanted and opinions
Hello,
We have a bright yellow C3 from 1976 at home with black interior. The interior used to be Bucketskin beige and the exterior color was mahogany. The interior needs to be replaced, it is painted and has cracks ...
Anyway, my dad now wants to start rebuilding the interior, but he likes a dark red interior. I personally don't like that with the yellow exterior, but its his dream car so its up to him.
I checked the colors of a 1976 and saw there was a color available called firethorn red. It looks like dark,brown red. Maybe what he is looking for.
My question, are there people willing to share some pictures of their firethorn interior, just to have an idea. I'm curious as it will fit the yellow color of the car.

No brownish in it, just darker red.

This is Firethorn in a 76 with Silver exterior. Interesting how this is so much brighter than the previous picture. Could be the camera?Jay

That's my interior and the picture is true to the real color. A good way to picturing Firethorn is to think of it as a Cinnamon color. It's a very unique shade of red, and a pain to match.

OK, let me be sure... his dream car is bright yellow with a Firethorn (dark red) interior? Or is he planning on changing the paint color too?

No, his dream car is a Corvette ...
It is bright yellow (very nice paintjob), but the interior needs to be replaced. He likes to replace it with something a bit more lively than black, as it is now. He likes the dark red.
Indeed, the oxblood looks nice.
I'm looking at different shops now for new parts, I'm even contacting a friend who makes seats ... checking all possibilities...
Tips are always welcome ...
