Default carpet Glue removal

I thouoght I would be lazy and just ask without searching the archives for an answer. Does anyone recommend a good solvent or ?? for removing all that ugly carpet glue from the interior of my 68?

Yes me too! I bought a "glass cleaner knife" with a razor blade works great!

Hi AW,
A scraper, razor blade, laquer thinner, and 3M Adhesive Solvent.
Can you say 'HIGH'?

Do you really have to get it all off? Afterall I will just be regluing down new carpet next summer. Shouldn't just scrapping be enough? (I haven't tried anything yet)

Several doses of Goof-Off worked well for me. Glue would have never come off otherwise on those rear panel doors and seat backs too. Some rubber gloves are not a bad idea as my wife noticed my hands were desperately needing some lotion afterward. Something I don't think about too much being a due and all.

A Snap-On Tools gasket scraper, razor scraper and plenty of 3-M adhesive remover. Getting the 68 ready for the FatMat is not one of those fun things but it's a neccessary one.

Take your time and have patience and it will turn out fine.

Thanks for the advice. I'll just do it and get it over with.
