What's It Worth?
Guess I had it on the wrong forum. Recent paint job, new stingray badges, new floormats with the stingray emblem in brown matching the interior, new console shift plate, new a/c faceplate. 75k original miles, power windows, a/c, power steering, all of which work, and soon to have sidepipes, engine bay needs restoring, motor is bone stock original. It also has the rear defogger/defroster. Just trying to get an idea of market value.

And soon to have these stainless steel badboys on there

Your car is probably worth more than you paid for it, but its value comes from its originality. My advice is to keep her stock and not to add the sidepipes.
Have you considered Flight Judging? http://www.ncrs.org/awards.html

The fact is that they are just bolt on parts that can easily be removed and put back to stock as long as you keep the original manifolds.
You can answer too, Mike

Here are more pics as requested.
The frame has only minor surface rust on it, floor pans are perfect, birdcage has minor surface rust as well. It is a texas car, and has minimal rust on it really. I did check it out for all of these before I purchased it.
And I just like sidepipes, I think they look cool and sound great as well. I already had it in mind to keep all the parts off of it if I did any modification to it, so I can keep resale value up.

After many years of being out of the Vette scene, my dad just purchased a 76 that is in pretty close to the same condition you are showing here. Depending upon what you paid, I think you did "well vehicle condition wise." Dad paid 7K for his with 81K miles. One unique aspect of these cars is the steering wheel. Only installed on 76 and some 77's without the delux interior setup (if i remember correctly). Some loved them others hated them simply because it was the same wheel installed on Vegas that year.

After seeing the exterior/interior of your car (very nice) the engine compartment is a real let down. I would spend the time/money and cleanup/detail it to match the rest of the car to a achieve top value of IMO 10K.

I plan on cleaning it all up when I rebuild the motor sometime next year. I agree the engine bay could use a major resto, but I said that at the first too.
I honestly think the car is a 9k car as it sits.

Beside that, it is brown. Maybe not the best color for resale.

Once I get the engine compartment cleaned up and matched to the rest of the car I think it will easily be an 11k car.
I do agree about the brown though, although a lot of people when they see it in person seem to love it. I'm not even that big of fan of it myself honestly. But it's the factory color.
