Default Big block pulleys and brackets

Is there a place to get the pulleys and brackets for an early 70s big block without missing a mortgage payment? A fairly nice big block "fell in my lap" but I don't want to spend a fortune making it work.

Can't promise, but I may be able to help you with a couple of bits. What all accessories will you be hanging on it?

While on it, I'm looking for cheap power steering pump brackets and pulley for a 72 bb.

It will be after the weekend, but I'll scrounge thru things ASAP to see if I've got any spares for your app.

That triple groove crank pulley was very $$ when I was building mine.

Still seems to be

The cast iron power steering pulley caught my attention too. More than anything though, it seems to be the accumulated cost of the various parts rather than the cost of any individual one.

keep in mind the early power steering pumps used a smaller dia. shaft.
the early cast pulleys only fit the early style pumps.
also the brackets are specifically for BB only. 69VETT

If you're not worried about originality, go to the junk yard and look at GMC buses and 1 ton pick up trucks. They may not be correct for Corvette, but they'll keep the battery charged and the wheels turning free. You should find what you need dirt cheap. Just don't get stuff from a 366 big block or a 427 tall deck. Very differant set ups on those engines. All the 454 stuff should work.

Hey 69vette! It looks like your alternator belt needs adjusting.

Camaro parts are the same ones as Corvettes. {67-69}

[ie] Classic Camaro is one site or web page.

I don't think 67-68 Camaro parts are the same, and I know 69 is different. Chevy went to the long water pump in 69 and moved the alternator to the passenger's side.

The Camaros use the same BB pump as a Corvette and the alternator is mounted on the left with or without air conditioning. And they all use the same alternaror mounting bracket too.

.....with air conditioning..

......without air coditioning...

...The Vette..

All 3 Photos are OE in every respect. No hot rod stuff, absolutely pure factory stock parts...

Try your chevy dealer parts counter, I got mine from Connell Chevrolet at a much better price than the aftermarket.

Sorry, but I don't seem to have any spares I can put my hands on just now. Good luck.

Ironcross,..I don't know what brackets or cars those are, but it's not origianal 69 Camaro stuff, or Chevelle or Nova. One of the brackets looks to be from a truck. Here's a 69 Camaro:

http://s421.photobucket.com/albums/p...t=PB030002.jpg

A/C doesn't matter. Go to page 82 & 83 of the 69 Camaro Assembly Manual for further verification.

In 69, Chevy switched to the long water pump for everything but the Vette which didn't have the room. No way the bracketry from a post 69 will work.

This might actually be the least expensive way to go. Do you have a kit number that fits or did you have to do it piece by piece?
