You can find this stuff on Ebay all day long, and they have smaller packages for less money but this stuff is very high quality and of a good thickness so it'll actually work great. I know that 36 sq ft will easily do both foot wells, sides of the transmission tunnel, and back area. You might even have enough to do the door shells under the door panels.
It's thick and heavy so shipping is expensive. Don't skimp and use the thin Fat-Mat...you'll have to use two layers just to get the same results and it's simply not worth it. I toyed with Fat-Mat and found it to be good but only doubled up.

I used Raammat. I found it to be great quality and less exspensive then others. Send Rick at www.raamaudio.com a email and see what the setup will cost ya. I know it was about 250 when I did mine a couple years ago.

Home Depot Frost King. Comes in a roll and is made for wrapping hot water heaters. Aluminum foil with fiberglass in between. Get the thin variety, about 1" or so.

That's heat insulation...not sound deadener. They are two completely different products with different purposes. Both work great together but one won't do the other's job.
Heat barriers do almost nothing for vibration dampening...which is sound, and dampeners don't help hardly at all for heat. The heat soaks right through the deadeners once the surface they are applied to gets hot.

Mid AmericaMotorworks has a box of new cutoffs from their precut pieces approx 30 square feet, for 29.99. Its on page 39 of their catalog I just got in the mail today. Probably on line too at www.mamotorworks.com
This is advertised as "sound deadener"

The only sound deadener that I have found that I thought worked better than Dynamat Extreme was Damplifier Pro, from Second Skin Audio, and it's more expensive than Dynamat Extreme. It's better and more expensive, so for less money I usually get the Dynamat Extreme which is still about the best I have used.

Take a look at this stuff from DEI.
Ebay Item # 190278522206
DEI-050503 Floor and Tunnel Shield, 48"L x 42"W $66 FREE SHIPPING
FYI it took 2 rolls to do the firewall, tunnel, and most of the floorboards to the back of the seats. I may get more for the rear and doors later.
It is designed to go under the car and on the firewall but I checkewd with the factory and they said it would work inside as well but wouldn't reflect as much heat. This is multi purpose heat and sound barrier, it is about 1/8" thich and can be trimmed with a razor knife (kind of). I haven't finished mine yet so no testing has been done, but it looks like it should work and beats the multiply layers of tin foil someone lined the floorboards with.

When I did my 66 Chevy II, I undercoated the floor board real good with 3-m spray and put down the water heater stuff from lowes then new carpet with the backing that came on it. I am happy with the results of that.

If you choose to use a Dynamat Xtreme, consider getting two 36 sq. ft. boxes, as one box will not cover the whole interior, actually I found that one box will do the firewall down to floors and tran. tunnel to the seat backs, and the other will do the rear compartment and the doors. I just did my interior with a layer of Dynamat and above it another layer of Reflectix.
