Good Tip: Do not pay 20k and have what will be done in writing, get refernces, go see other work he did from recent and years past to see how it held up and never pay in full it takes away any power you have and takes the incentive from the painter to do a good job and in a timely manner, i live in ny but too many people on here getting ripped off, cover yourself in every way or do it yourself and save the cash

I had a vehicle painted about three years ago. The painter switched to a level of lower paint quality. The car was painted with base coat / clear coat. The jams were painted with single stage.

I had a 12 inch sag in the spoiler and run in the headlight area.

The shop said they would correct it, but they never had time to do it. Yes, they had 100% of my full payment!!

I was able to color sand out the problems in the clear coat.

I might be better off selling the car and getting one already completed.

Any comments? Thanks for the suggestions.
