Melting Slicks
Very nice If a guy is going to go Motion...this has got to be the ultimate combo. Muddy
btw: What was the procedure for the clean up? I had a small issue with my deck lid and bc...My gun was too full and dripped out the breather hole when leaning over....(dang it!). Just had to sand it down a bit and re-shoot.

Thanks. The cleanup was sanding off all the spilled clearcoat, down to the "original" DP epoxy primer, then re-seal with epoxy, then K36 high build, then sand and paint...pretty much started over in the spill area. My painter had EXACTLY the same thing happen earlier on that fateful Easter Sunday. A few drops of black leaked out the breather hole. He sanded them down and continued. Then BAM!!! the cup of clear came off the gun and you know the rest of the story. Needless to say it was a bad day. But I think all is better now

Your car looks great Rob,
Are you going to cut & polish it yourself? If so, what procedure are you going to use? I have to do the same and am looking for some tips.
Good luck with the reassembly

Thanks. My painter will do most of it. We wet sand first with 2000 grit, then use 3M cutting compound with cutting pad, then 3M polishing compound with polishing pad. I'll do most of the sanding, then he uses the buffer. He's afraid to let me use the buffer for fear of accidentally burning the finish. I can fly $30mil jets, but not use a buffer!
He's probably right as I really wouldnt want to screw things up. Seems there is an art to handling the buffer! He's good...I'm new! I dont want to "learn" on my new paint job!!

My painter left the polishing up to me, so I guess I'll have to learn to use the buffer on my new paint.
