fender emblem location?
When I bought my 74 coupe last year I noticed the stingray fender emblems were missing. Then I noticed the hole had been glassed over. They did a good job, but I would like to replace them. Does anyone know where I can get the location on the fender for the holes? I looked at my AIM ( awhile back) It showes the deminsions for the holes to match the emblem but no location on the fender. Thanks, Kelly

If the holes have been patched, can you see them from the backside of the fenders? If you can see them, you might be able to open them.
If you can find one of the patched holes on the front side, set one of the pegs on the fender script in/over the hole and mark the locations of the remaining holes for the pegs. Make a template of one side to use on the other side.

The "Stingray" script is centered above the egg-crate grilles and the bottom of the letters (not including the lower parts of the 'g', 'y', and capital 'S') is exactly 1.5 inches above the center of the horizontal body break line. Hope that helps.

I ran across the same thing when I replaced my front end. I looked at every C3 I could find and finally realized no two are the same! I just did mine centered above the gills and about 1 1/2 inch above the body break (just like described above) I thought that looked the best.

Not a great shot but may help of a 76.
a 73
Here's my 70
And the AIM specs
The hole location above the horizontal crease may be the same.
Check your AIM, or get one for your year if you don't have it.
Hopefully others can post a close up pic of your year.

Easy solution to your problem, Trade it in for a 68 / we have nothing on our fenders.........
