Both awesome motors but somewhat missing the point. Yeah the 6.9L supercharged kit as $20k+ is bitchen but not any more smog legal than the even more awesome $24k all aluminum 427.
If I had a different year car and even more money to put into a engine swap I'd be inclined to do the 427 - the gaudy plastic cover on the 6.9 turns me off.
But I dont so the e-rod is a good (albeit pricey) alternative.

I think it's safe to say those 3 cars are not built or owned by the "average" car guy nor are the compliant either. I'm not saying that 8K is "cheap" but if you live where there is no choise at least you have a "compliant" alternative that there is no denying the drivability and performance as well as the fuel economy.

Hello all,
I am new to CF and working on 76 for oldest son. the new engine from GM is wonderful to see in my opinion. We are going to have new smog laws coming at us this year from what I have seen in news, it could get rough for us hot rodders.

Yeah Hemi, and we can make it rough on them too, like vote them out of office, or even have a Revolution. People are sick of this crap! Everytime a Lib bitches and moans, we are supposed to comply? Like hell.
