HI M23,
That's really too bad!
I'm not a fan of those auctions BUT I certainly don't wish them, or the cars, any misfortune.
Regards,
Alan

Terrorizing Orange Cones
Dang high winds wreak havoc most anytime they blow through. Hate to see anybodys work get fouled up and like the reporters on scene have said, no one got hurt.

Looks like they finally are going to let the owners take a look/see at the damage to the cars. The Supercar Registry has information from R&S on what their future plans will be for the rest of the weekend. In a nutshell, they will resume the auction where it left off, and anyone that wishes to pull their car out of the auction is welcome to do so. They are thinking of extending the auction to Monday. It appears that there was less damage to some the cars then they were originally expecting. Drew Alcazar from R&S is hosting a breakfast today for the consignors to go over in detail what the R&S auction plans will be.

WOW! that really SUCKS! I'm glad no one was badly hurt or killed in that disaster. I wonder if Haggery and the other insurers have enough reserves to pay out all those claims? This is not good, I hope everyone makes out OK in the end. I can't even continue to look at the photos, there were some really nice/rare cars really messed up in that disaster

....damn, looks like a lot of '70s/early '80s Trans Ams & Shelbys took the brunt of it.
...that Blue/Blue Hemi convertible w/top down and windshield folded down over the steering wheel and dash.
...can't imagine what some of those owners are going through. Talk about your whole auction experience going down the drain.....
....some serious high $$$ damage.
...for whatever reason, Mother Nature was pizzed at somebody.

Hi,
The pictures are just incredible. I had no idea how serious and wide spread the damage was. I had to stop looking!
I feel very sad for the owners.
Regards,
Alan

Wow!!! That really sucks.
If there is any bright side to this tragety is that those with totalled cars and agreed value policies don't have to worry about meeting reserve selling their ride if it was properly agreed valued insured. Ugghh!!!

There are alot more damaged cars than I thought. I was at Barrett Jackson the night of the storm and it was pretty scary there watching the tent blowing. They didn't have any damaged cars that I heard of.

Safety Car
For all of us that work so hard to keep our old cars in one piece, much less in the condition of some of cars in that auction, this is heart breaking. The Allard J-2, the Superbird, The BOSS's, the Vettes...
