I have one in my 65. They look great. You could have one made for your 69 if originality is not an issue.

Not sure, but I think most of these guys that do these could just as easily do the newer wheel. Same process, I would suspect. Mine is a repro done by Doug Graves up in Canada. He is an NCRS guy and does nice work. I know Eric Freeman also does superior work.

As already posted, only stock option in 65-66. I had a repro one in my '66 that I had made 15" (vs. 16" stock to save leg/shift room) and I loved the feel and rigidity of it. My stock wheel in my '69 (plastic stock) is not nearly as solid and rigid as the teak. I have toyed with the idea of getting another 15" teak for the '69 because of the superior feel, but I'm not sure I'd like the look...

I'd like to get the teak wheel for my 68. I think they look really great. The "faux" plastic teak wheel stock on the 68 just doesn't cut it.! They're about $500 so, it's pretty down on my priority list since I'm building up my 70. Yes, the 68 wheel is 16 inches. If you have manual steering, you need that big wheel.
