Many have. If you know about speaker mounting you will know what to do with what has been posted- most applies to yours too.

Kick location: 4X6 fit easily, maybe 5x7 & some 5 1/4 can be fitted.

A mounting plate must be used to make a "box" to separate the front from back sound waves to prevent cancellation for better bass.

The speaker should be solidly mounted so that the movement of the speaker cone is translated into sound rather than any movement of the speaker.

I put 6.5 in lower kick panels. My feet don't hit them but I did add a spacer. I want 6.5 for better bass response throught the car and not just from the subwoofer

Looks good!

FYI
There is not enough airspace behind to optimize 5.25. Tested 6.5 anyway & it wasn't better than 5.25.
In doors, the 6.5 had better bass.

Thanks for the help. I guess its not an easy thing to get those speakers in. Do you know of anyone that makes these mounting brackets or is that something that has to be done to the speaker used. I know different size would mean different bracket.

You need to cut a hole for the speaker used in something like MDF, plywood, metal etc. to make a mounting plate which should be used to make a "box" to separate the front from back sound waves to prevent cancellation for better bass.

vettfixr has a topic w/ pics.

If you are talking about the topic link, that's Al vettfixer pics.

I have Kenwood eXcelon mask CD, 5.25 components hidden behind factory kick panels & amp. in back center compartment.

Mask- face flips over to look like no radio.

Removed the dash speakers & tested w/ DPDT switched dome tweeters which worked great or leave open w/o speakers.
