73 Sports Wagon?!?
Well this is new to me, and according to the listing it isn't the only one. I know I've seen a 4th gen Firebird and Cadillacs turned to wagons. I would post a pic, but it's not letting me. The listing is on "the bay"

Seems a little on the high side, price-wise. Maybe it's just me.

There is nothing original about that car. Chevy did not make any wagons. They are all kit cars that have been converted from a standard car. I like most wagons I have seen but this one doesn't look as nice. No headlights looks a bit odd and the wagon roof has a slope to it that looks strange. I love '73's but someone ruined this one.

That's a damn shame.. I can't believe what some people have done to these cars. You'd think a little voice would go off in your head the minute you started hacking away at it that said " don't be an effin moron"!

You never know how this car was before it was customized.
Most of them were crashed, hence the custom fronts or rears.
Especially in the 70's , it was way cheaper to modify than return to stock.
That car does look similar to mine, but its not....
Try to keep an open mind, as some of us play both ends.
I have 4 highly modified corvettes and one 100% stock one.
Its ok to have something different....
Check out our website, but first, be aware that there are a bunch of effin morons there.

Theads posted for the purpose of bashing any car are just a waste of time.
Randy...you know how they feel about customs here...even if they like it they are scared to admit it,
But in general these fellows here are nicer and more straight up with me than some of those "effin morons" on the mako site.
Every show needs one, I always had a soft spot for these "family truckster" corvettes and their dorky charm that it seems only a mother would love....I would buy the right one right now...some of the kits look way better than others...
They were never very popular which was weird as they sold well in the day,...even in the day they killed resale value.
Ruined??? no...it's not ruined...the builder digs it..or in this case the new owner will dig it....
if you raise a flag you can't get pissed when some one salutes it...if someone prasies our customs that's okay someone trashes it and then that's not okay....
I am sure next week when I get the PT back from the shop and slap the Mako front clip on my 69 plenty here will say I ruined the car...so what?....just as many on the mako forum will not like how I am building mine outside the "mako" cookie cutter.....I wanna please me not the masses and if more people thought that way they would be happier.
You know I defend the hell out of customs here and I haunt here all the time, I dig this forum and the people here,
I support a persons right to build what they please and I also support the next fellows right to like it OR hate it....
The car is IMHO way overpriced, with the bad economy and all customs are at all all time wicked low, you can pick up nice wide bodies for 5K
Sellers like this give people fodder to hate and bash customs...
I stopped reading the asinine sellers ad when he says it wasn't done at a body shop that Ecklers built it....yeah...at their body shop down the road that we used to haunt back in the late 70's early 80's ,
I hope someone clues in the selller....

I do not get the whole "runined" thing,
You might hate it, you might think it's dog puke, but runined...it's a running driver vette that will steal people from stockers to go look at it at a show, the only "ruined" vette is the vette that is no more....

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder guys. I think it looks alright. I wouldn't drop $16K on it, but if the price were right...
Now the silver Vette shown by Easy Mike....THAT'S a fugly Obamanation!! That one looks "ruined" to me, since it was sliced and diced, and you can't readily undo that custom. It's just NOT a well executed stretch...and it makes the wagon look like a thing of beauty!

Don't do this, don't do that, stay between the lines ?
I don't think so! Go to a show and there are 30 vetts same color, they all look alike to me.
Wouldn't make much difference which one you drove home, would it?
I really wanted the wagon or the hatchback. As long as your driving it, be happy with it.
