My first trip to a dragstrip was with my older brother to Cecil County Drag-O-Way, MD in the 60's. I watched TV Tommy run his twin engine dragster. It was painted the prettiest Candy Apple Red I had ever seen.....His pull / return car a Riviera and hauler /trailer were all painted the same Candy Apple Red. I was hooked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stay in tune....

Didn't he have a four engine dragster? If I remember right he ran buick engines. You have to be a old fart to remember TV Tommy Ivo

chucks is correct about that 4-engined dragster of TV's having Buicks. Nailheads, IIRC. Call me an old fart, but I'll admit to having seen him race in person. Also saw the Little Red Wagon's last exhibition. Guess it's time for my nightly Geritol...

Yes he did. It started out as a "basic" dragster with the 4 Buick engines, and was later fitted with a body that resembled a Buick Riveria, and called the "Wagonmaster", IIRC.....

The Wagonmaster was TV's.
Little Red Wagon was a wheelstander owned by Bill "Maverick" Golden. This topic made me get all nostalgic...

That was a great article. I started reading yesterday and finally finished today (I'm not that slow a reader, just have to read between visits from my boss ) If you have not read, it's pretty interesting. I remember as a kid building my first model car -- The Little Red Wagon.
