Now that you have done this-fricking awesome BTW!!!

Have you thought about this- and getting full potential out of all that work...

Oh, thanks Richard, that image explains exactly what I had in mind.
So I guess the answer is yes LOL.
The only difference is that I planned the intake to go straight over the big duct (and under the scoop 'spine') and grab fresh air from over the radiator like a C5 does. Anyway this will only make sense when I put the LS engine in.
As always, great inputs

I absolutely love that hood! Can you whip out another one real quick?
When I did my car I had big plans for the hood but ran out of time. one thing I was going to do was eliminate the grill from the cowl near the windshield. Have you given that any thought or do you prefer it being there?
One thing I have considered, since the grill is there anyway, was building a box under it and opening up the hood brace underneath so hot air could be drawn out. That is assuming that the area on top of the cowl is a low pressure area. I know behind it (near windshield) is a high pressure area but was not sure of the top. Any input from you guys?
Major kudos on your work so far. Outstanding as always

I think you did good because god it took a long time.

I'm almost done with the 3rd mudding (last pic were from 1rst one), and as early as tonight the cowl grill goes to the part bin.

Not sure I understand, you mean using the hood frame as a air duct? Dunno if it would work but it's Smokey's level of out of the box thinking there.

Ok, it's done.
I teared down the dust tent, shelved the fiberglass and started to clean.
Time for a video.
Excuse the grunts, my back is pretty sore these time.
If you watch carefully you'll see I've cut the tail light venting holes in the back bumper cover.

Thanks buddy.
Still hesitating between cybergray and laguna grey. I plan to take all my time at the paint shop (the place that sell the paint) and browse all they got, expecting the perfect color to reveal itself to me.

Knowing myself, I may end up with something different. It's nearly impossible to get an idea from picture of even video. I got the feeling cyber gray is a tad lighter than I'd like it to be.

Thanks my friend.
Damn, time flies, first post in october 2010.
It's been a long unexpected road, and I would have never imagined what happened.
Starting from the rock bottom it's all been small incremental steps, with lot of change of direction, talking about vision .
None of this would have happen without the tangible and intangible support of people like you.
I must not rest on my laurels, I still have the glass T-TOP to test fit, time to do some forum search....

Looking good! What an amazing journey indeed. I can't believe how much you have done especially in that space. I can not wait to see it all come together.

Ok, moving to t-top alignment, here's what I got :

Those are the Plexiglas t-top, I'm rehearsing with more forgiving material.
As you can see the T-top pretty much float above the body level, and the seal is almost touching the edge.
Does it look correct to you?

And here is how my latch receiver conversion piece is installed so far, I pretty much use the existing holes, and I know it's wrong. I did that years ago.
Right now it doesn't align at all, I know that I have to move it up, the question is how much.
I was hoping some could provide a similar pic to compare, search the web, couldn't find any.

A quick update.
I'm still aligning my glass T-Top, but I'm almost done tho. I never imagined this would take me that much work.
I had to touch pretty much everything, from the windshield frame to the latches mounting bracket. There wasn't a single element of the equation that didn't want to fight me.
I'll post a pic of that tonight.

Here is the actual news : I've found my color.
I went to the local Sherwin Williams dealer (my painter only works with that brand), and asked them to throw at me all the gray and black paint sample they had.
After extensive browsing, and tests under the sunlight I ended up with a Peugeot paint called Graphite Gray. It's a tad darker than cybergray, and it's pretty much color neutral while cybergray had a lot of blue in it.

Oh, and I almost forgot, the car hit the paint booth next monday. No turning back.

Très cool. Maybe the gray from Columbo's old Peugeot 403?

LOL, wrong number, it actually was a color for the 205 GTI of the 90's

Paint is the same on both car, just different lighting.
