I'm upgrading the stock 350 engine in my 79 C3 Corvette and want to put on/in a package containing a new cam, distributor, Holley carb and Edelbrock intake manifold to increase the performance and fuel economy while reusing my stock hood and air cleaner system. any/all recommendations welcomed!

First if you haven't yet, I'd upgrade to true dual exhaust and headers. That's what I have on my 79 as well as an Edelbrock Performer intake, Q-jet, bigger cam and open element air cleaner. It really wakes the car up. Also, pay attention to dialing in the timing curve, there's a sticky on it on the C3 technical board. It's almost free and will surprise you how much that simple adjustment will wake up the engine.
