Tell me about the GM104 paint...source? Shade (gloss level)? I'm planning on painting a frame and looking for a nice near original black paint.

I was able to purchase 2 gallons of the GM104 from Melrose T-Top about 6 years ago. You can check there website to inquire as to the balance of there inventory. I understand they purchased all the remaining GM-104 from General Motors.
The cost is approximatly $100.00 per gallon. I think you can do the entire frame with one gallon.
It's not the most glamousous, but it is correct.

As I understand it from reading about these brakes somewhere in the distant past, the only advantage is the pads having the backing plate bent over at 90° on the outer edge as shown in the photo in post 5 by Mike Ward. The 90° bend stiffened the backing plate to prevent them from warping or bending when the brakes got extremely hot in racing. The bend added stiffness.

Default Z07 Survey.

...I had to dig through my '75 L-82 Corvette Survey that I did from about 2000-2008 to find some of this info. I have something like 68 out of 2372 cars. A small sampling I know, but I have some fairly neat info.
Paul, wished I could have gotten in on your survey. Anyway, with a vin of (34728) After doing research from the data tag on the cowl and help from the birthday book I new it was 07/11/12/75. General Motors took off from 4th of July. That pushed the build back a day, starting the build on Friday the 11th of 1975, completing on Saturday the 12th. Roy Sinor sent verification of the July 11th 1975 build. Im a little dissipointed that NCRS could not give me the originating dealer. I recieved a Zone code with no other info. I do have the tank sticker but, it is very hard to read. Any suggestions to tracking down its origin?
Lack of time and mostly lack of money the restoration is going slowly. Any help is appreaciated. Thanks Cleveland

I am the soon to have at my home owner of a 1975 Corvette stingray coupe L-82 4 speed born in april of 75. Vin number confirms l-82.VIN 1Z37T5S421389 Body 182 10L Body code confirms color as white and black leather interior.
I saw some one call the M-21 a bog warner.. It's not it a Muncie M-21 chevy stopped using the because the s-t10 came out that was made by borg warner.
I will do everything I can to find the build sheet once she comes home.
I am confident it is one of the 1057 m-21 cars built. That only came with the L-82 engine. a good number of the L-82 motors came with autos.
My car does have the a/c option and power windows and am/fm radio. Oh my sugar is a barn find from southeastern wisconsin.
I had heard that 3:73 rear axle gears came in Z07 cars possibly also. Any ways 1-1057 ain't bad at all.
Dual exhaust with headers and a cam already in it. God to goo....fast.
