Opinions on 70-77 dash in a '69
I'm considering putting a '70-'77 upper and lower dash pieces in my '69. The pieces that came with my '69 are in dire need of replacement. 2 reasons. I want the speakers in the dash unlike the '69 that mount by the kickpanels only. Also I like the stitching that comes on the 70-77. What's everyones thoughts on doing this?
My '69 has a NOM and will be painted a non-original color also.

I'd say make it however you like it. With a NOM it's not going generate much interest from people who want purely original (unless you get a restamp). To the casual observer I doubt the difference would stand out. IMO this is the sort of modification NOMs are quite suitable for. If your original dash pad is in decent shape, hang on to it. It's possible someone may want it with the car someday though I have my doubts.

Paint first; interior after that. You will need mounting brackets for the 70-77 dash speakers.
FWIW: keep the 68-69 kick panel speakers.
