Default A little update

Well its been kinda slow lately. Gas tank is mounted. I have 4 wheels now! I placed an order with Tom's Diff. new 30 spline 7 stage posi in the mail, as well as half shaft loops, and a mount kit for the diff crossmember. Gary said these gears were going to be hard too source so I figured i put a set on the shelf. New stainless fuel lines are in the mail from classic tube. Hopefully she will see the road in 2012!

Default 75 resto...

Looks great and you're making progress... went down this path on my 64...spent 11 years frame of by hand in my garage. Have a 73 now I just began working on (my profile pic). It's a labor of love!

Those stainless lines are trouble. I just replaced my brake system with stainless and regret using stainless. I had leaks that wouldn't stop. After doing do reading, I found that putting some anti seize on the threads and tighten it down nice and solid, then backing it off and retighten, I found that it tightened a little further each time, seating the stainless tube in the flared fitting. This has taken care of the leaks, I still have a few that need this treatment.
Good luck with the stainless, even through it's a pain in the azz to stop the leaks, it does look good once installed.

Default Update

Well, life got in the way of seeing the road in 2012! I rebuilt the motor myself with help of a friend. $225 at the junk yard. 350 bored 30 over. Lucky find. It had new pistons, rings, lifters, and bearings. A simple tear down, clean up, and re-assemble turned out well. Now on to the body! Enjoy.

Default Progress

Well, the vette progress has been slow for the last year or so. I bought a house, and renovations have taken up a lot of my time. However, I just wanted to post some pictures of what I have done.

Body completely soda blasted

Great job! You aligned the panels very well and the lines look perfectly stock. Keep posting when you can, great to see such progress and another great vette getting closer to being back on the road!
