Default Sport Mirrors VS. Chrome Mirrors

I'm building a Restomod 77 Vette and need mirrors for the car. The front is a 73-74 one piece tilt front end and I can't decide on which mirror would look the best. The doors are 77 and had the sport mirrors originally, I'm assuming the bolt patters are the same.
Thanks

The Sport Mirrors look best!

You could chrome them, but you can't assume the old design has the same bolt pattern.

As Ganey suggests, the bolt pattern is not the same and chrome mirrors will not cover all three holes on the drivers side nor will cover both on the passenger side.

I always thought these were pretty sharp lookin. The car belongs to a forum member (Red73) but was never able to get with him to see where he found them.

IMO go with the bumpers....

Chrome bumpers - Chrome Mirror
Fiberglass bumpers - Sport mirror.

So in your case Sport mirrors.

The chrome mirrors will whistle and it can be heard with the windows down. They look great though. My '76 came with them.

The Sport mirror are of a more modern design and look great on the right car.

Ive never heard a whistle and ive had the car going pretty fast.So thats not true.i was going to go with sport mirrors but chrome should go on chrome bumper cars ,they just look right on them and believe it or not people that look at our cars like the chrome mirrors better. So i went with chrome mirrors.

Somewhere else on here I've posted this... My chrome, yes I had the right side added, are my speed indicators... when I get to a "certain" speed they fold in.... I'm going with sport next time....

I went with sport on my '75 also. One thing to keep in mind is you see a lot of rear wheel well in the mirror. I think the chrome sit up a little higher.

I have chrome mirrors on 76 and like the way they look but they are junk, always falling down.

You need to buy a good replacement, like from paragon, mine are really tight and beautiful chroming . They have a really good reputation for quality parts,i bought all my chrome from them and they fit perfect without any bending and prying. They sell both china and usa made parts that are made by them.
