Who makes the best T-top rubber kit for a 68 coupe.
Well its time to buy my rubber kit for the T-tops doors, back window,etc...I saw some posts and it sounds like Corvette rubber company directly or Wilcox sells their stuff/the best as well.Any input much appreciated. I realize this could be a hot topic as some vendors probly surf this site.I just want to make sure I do it right the first time and dont end up with any foreighn bulging bad repo's....Thankyou in advance.....Dave

Hi Dave,
I believe Willcox handles weather striping made by Corvette Rubber in Cadillac Mich.
They seem to be a very popular choice.
I liked their products too.
Regards,
Alan

Hi Alan, not hijacking a thread, but similar topic. I'm almost done stripping my 82 and plan to replace all thevweather stripping. Do I need to take the old off before paint? I had planned to remove and replace a piece at a time so placement and fastners would be fresh in my mind but now concerned about complete coverage. Advice?

I just installed "all" new rubber in my 68 coupe. It was all purchased from CC. All fit great. I'm very happy with the quality, delivery time and end result

Charles... most if not all your weatherstrip is glued in place. You should definitely remove it and prep underneath before it goes to paint. Installation is quite straighforward so I would not worry too much about forgetting how it's done... we're here as always if you have questions later.

Alan is correct, all our rubber is CRC brand...
In regards to the question about removing before paint... Yes. We always remove all the rubber before paint.
68 t-top weatherstrips can be found here.. there are four pieces.
