Default Control Arm Question

I'm replacing control arms on a 74 convertible. The ones I removed did not have mounting holes for a swaybar. Is there any difference between what I've taken off and new ones with mounting holes with swaybars as far the distance from the front mounting pin to spindle mount?

The name of the part you are referring to is the trailing arm. No, there is no difference in the arms.

If memory serves, all of the trailing arms since 69 have had the holes for the rear sway bar shackles.

The 68 AIM shows how the holes were drilled for that model year. Not much to it; you use the mounting plate as a guide.
