Safety Car
Thanks for posting that link, it worked for me. I wonder what the mortality rate was for those old time race car drivers, even tho a good number of them got up and away from the wrecks pretty quickly, some look like they were stuck to the cars. Peace,,, moosie

Sorry scotty99 I couldn't view it on Firefox, or my apple safari I had to use InternetExplorer
Yeah it is amazing to see and horrifying I was glad to see some of them get up and walk away or run from the crashes
The footage for being that old is just amazing. It should be viewed and enjoyed for what racing used to be back when it was real and dangerous and competitive. Not like NASCAR now where it's all the exact same car going the exact same speed with different paint jobs

Does any one else have any cool vintage race clips? Bikes, cars, c3s what ever i like old race videos/pictures. I have seen lots of picture of the early c3s for lemans looking racers but never a video of them tearing up the track

When the highest point on the car is your head, that's not a good thing. I'd never use my neck as a roll cage!
Those guys driving the early cars really were daredevils, there was no safety even thought of back then. Discovery or some other channel recently had on a 1 hour documentary on the 70's race scene and the several deaths that brought about safety changes to racing.

I am all for safety in all auto racing. I would've liked to see that special on history.
I am not however all for calling a completely non stock mostly foreign built group of cars with blue ovals and bowties painted on them as stock I hate all of the modern NASCAR racing it is just sad where the sport has gone.

I've never cared for NASCAR but I agree with your second point.

I opened up explorer and was able to view the video. I hope you will all pardon my language, but man, ya had to have ***** as big as church bells to race back then!!!!! Some of that stuff was just flat-out crazy!!! I think today my signature has a little extra significance.
Keep the shiny side up!
