Default Gone for a few years...new Vette today though!

Just wanted to make a quick hello here in the C3 section. I haven't been on this site in a few years, since losing my C4 in a fire. Here's a couple pictures of that one just for the heck of it:

Anyway, just got around to getting a new one and tracked down a nice 79 L82 last week and brought it home today. New paint and a great interior, typical lazy headlights and a yet-to-be-identified "creaking" coming from the rear of the car at low speeds, but all in all, I think she's gonna be great. I'll especially like it if it doesn't inexplicably catch on fire while I'm driving it about 3 months after buying it.

Couple of "Day 1" pictures...

(For those interested, here's the http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c4-g...cs-inside.htmllink to the fire thread).

Bad news about the C4. Congrats on the C3!

The dark green is beautiful.

I am guessing you will be keeping some fire extinguishers on hand for this Vette.

Having to watch it burn must have been a real bummer.
