Corvette Roadtrip Italy and France, Day by day diary
Prologue:
On May 5, my lovely wife and I will buckle up in our 69' to take the roadtrip of our dreams: Together with some friends (18 Corvettes, approx. 5 of them C3s) will be driving through some of the most beautiful regions of Southern Europe. The whole thing has been lovingly prepared by our friend Jürgen who will be driving his 68. Starting in the Swiss mountains, the tour will take us through Northern Italy into the Provençe region of France. Later in the week we will be hitting the coast (Côte d'Azur) and cuise along the Mediterranian Sea through Italy back to Switzerland and Germany, where most of us come from.
I plan to keep a daily diary of the trip and will post it here - unless you guys are already bored to death looking at pictures of Corvettes in European sceneries.
Here's the overview of the trip. It's approximately 1500 miles.
Oh, anybody want to rant against luggage racks on a C3? Don't you dare... I'm happy I got it.
Chapter 1 coming up...
Have a great day, folks.

Hi Katja & Martin,
This sounds like a WONDERFUL trip!
I hope you're able to put that picnic basket and beach umbrella to good use!
This should create some great memories.
Be Safe!
Regards,
Alan
PS: I look forward to your updates.

Just last week I took a train trip between Milan and Zurich that partly follows the first path of your trip from Switzerland. Looking at the roads and scenery out the window it just made me wish I was doing a road trip there in mine. So I'm jealous!

Spent a couple weeks in the exact same reagion north of Milan last year. Yes, it's beautiful scenery and great people. Wish I was with your group! Will you be visiting castles and fortresses?
